[social_share/] The Nets raced out to a suprising 24-5 lead over the Bulls at the United Center last night, and our Player of the Day, Kris Humphries was a big reason for the success. Humphries posted 24 points on an efficient 10 from 15 shooting, added 18 rebounds, five assists, one steal and two blocks in the unexpected road victory.
In yet another night where the Nets were missing center Brook Lopez, Humphries dominated the front court and put on a clinic, particularly when compared to the Bull’s Noah and Asik. Both went scoreless, with an embarrassing combined total of 0 from 8 from the field.
It was the first time in Kris Humphries career that he has posted back to back 20+ point games, as the Nets ran out 97-85 victors, snapping an 8 game losing streak.
The Nets are expected to regain Brook Lopez, who should start Sunday’s game vs the Bucks, rest against the Knicks Monday and then play again against the Magic on Wednesday.
“This was definitely the best defensive game of the season for us. We got going early, built a lead and didn’t let it evaporate.”
– New Jersey guard Deron Williams
